My name is Nicola Benson and I am PIP candidate for St. Georges ward

It has been a great honour to serve the residents of St George’s ward since being elected in May 2023 and I am asking for your vote once more in the upcoming election. As a fellow resident of St George’s ward I will fight tirelessly to prevent the destruction of our Greenbelt at Glebelands.  A development of any size on Glebelands would be catastrophic to our local area,  the additional cars will further exacerbate traffic issues at Tarpots and surrounding roads will be busier as cars try to find alternative routes.  Furthermore, it will push our already stretched healthcare and schooling resources to the limit.  Our Green Belt across the borough must remain preserved for future generations to enjoy and benefit from.

Looking around Castle Point, the condition of our roads and footpaths is disgraceful.  I will continue to raise issues with our roads and pavements with ECC.

I am proud of what PIP has achieved so far including transforming and streamlining the structure of our Council as well as rejecting applications to build on several Green Field sites within our borough.

A vote for me is a vote for a passionate, community minded, deep-rooted local resident ready to serve fellow residents.
