My name is Warren Gibson and I am standing as PIP candidate for St. Michaels ward.

I have lived in Castle Point for all of my 48 years, with a majority of that time being spent living in Victoria ward. My parents rented, and ultimately, bought their own home from the council, my childhood home. I went to school in this area, I love this area and I am passionate about its survival and sustainability.

I am the leader of the People's Independent Party having been first elected as a Councillor in 2021, and have been Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning since 2022. In this role, I have overseen the withdrawal of the disastrous Conservative Local Plan and we are now set to deliver the first ever resident-led Castle Point Plan in 2025.

Under my leadership, PIP will always commit to preserving our Green Belt. We have also overseen a top-down transformation of the Council in order to save taxpayers' money and enhance efficiency. We have made a great start over the past 2 years, and need your vote to continue with this good work.
